The unique cutting surface of Reid Cobra Blades was developed after looking at blades auto glass technicians had resharpened. The blades had all taken on a slight convex shape. Through experimentation, Reid found the convex surface cuts easier and faster through urethane than flat top alternatives.

The geometry of the Cobra Blades is possible because of specialty grinding methods, finely honing the edge thinner and sharper than any other cold knife blade on the market.
